HTS specifically focuses on renewable energy, and works with clients in the areas of wind, solar, biofuels, and biomass to:

- Assess attractive markets, perform feasibility studies, and identify projects for clients;
- Leverage network of contacts to provide introductions to senior policy decision makers in target markets;
- Build strategic business plans with specific goals and deliverables for clients;
- Find local partners and distributors and build a successful market niche for the client’s products in the United States;
- Create subsidiaries for clients where applicable;
- Build public support for client projects;
- Provision of political representation in cases where legislative issues arise; and
- Serving as a liaison with state and Federal governments to build and implement tax incentives and energy credits.
